With only one day left before July begins, the month is already shaping up to be an exciting time for fans of over-the-top content. For those who enjoy planning their watchlist in advance or prefer binge-watching from the comfort of their own homes, there is a wide range of content to look forward to. July’s streaming calendar features a diverse array of movies and shows, including highly anticipated sequels, returning fan-favorite series, brand-new Indian originals, and action-packed films, all of which will be available on various platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar, Apple TV+, and ZEE5.

The month kicks off with the release of Enola Holmes 3 on Netflix on July 1. This mystery adventure film stars Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, Louis Partridge, and Helena Bonham Carter. In this installment, Enola ventures outside of London to take on her biggest investigation yet, all while navigating her personal dreams and responsibilities as a detective. Viewers can expect a thrilling ride filled with suspense, mystery, and unexpected twists. Also arriving on July 1 is Elle, a prequel to the Legally Blonde films, which will be available on Amazon Prime Video. The series explores the early life of Elle Woods, played by a young cast, and delves into the experiences that shaped her confidence, optimism, and determination before she entered law school.

On July 2, Netflix will premiere its first original Telugu series, Super Subbu, starring Sundeep Kishan, Mithila Palkar, and Murali Sharma. The story revolves around Subramanyam “Subbu” Chillukuri Rao, whose ordinary life takes an extraordinary turn after a series of unexpected events. The series promises to bring together humor, family emotions, and coming-of-age moments, making for a light-hearted and entertaining watch. Pritam and Pedro, a new series starring Arshad Warsi and Vikrant Massey, will begin streaming on JioHotstar on July 3. The show marks the acting debut of filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani’s son, Vir Hirani, and is created, co-written, edited, and produced by Rajkumar Hirani. Directed by Avinash Arun, the series is inspired by Amit Dubey’s books Hidden Files and Return of the Trojan Horse and promises a mix of mystery, crime, and drama.

The popular sci-fi drama Silo returns with its third season on Apple TV+ on July 3, with Rebecca Ferguson reprising her role as Juliette Nichols. The new season continues the story of the rebellion inside the underground society, uncovering the origins of the mysterious silo. As hidden truths emerge, Juliette faces even greater challenges. Ram Charan’s sports action drama Peddi is also expected to arrive on Netflix in July, although the exact release date has not been officially confirmed. The film stars Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Boman Irani, Divyenndu Sharma, and Ravi Kishan, and according to reports, the Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions may stream from July 2, while the Hindi version may arrive on July 30 after completing its theatrical window.

Ikka, an action drama starring Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna, will premiere on Netflix on July 10. The film also stars Dia Mirza, Tillotama Shome, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor and has already generated excitement among fans following the release of its first look. Heartstopper Forever, the final chapter of the beloved romance, will arrive on Netflix on July 17. Created by Alice Oseman, the concluding season follows its young characters as they prepare for the next phase of life, navigating love, friendship, and self-discovery. Fans can expect an emotional farewell to the hit coming-of-age series. The month will come to a close with the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2 on JioHotstar on July 29, a sequel that revisits the glamorous fashion world nearly two decades after the original film.

The lineup for July is packed with a diverse range of content, from mystery adventures and science-fiction dramas to action entertainers, comedy series, and nostalgic sequels. With so many options available across multiple streaming platforms, viewers will have no shortage of choices throughout the month. Whether you’re in the mood for a Hollywood blockbuster, an Indian original, or a binge-worthy new series, there’s something for everyone. As the month progresses, stay tuned for more updates on the latest releases and what to expect from the world of over-the-top content.
