Gwend’s POUND journey began during a season when she needed more than just a workout — she needed a release. As a dentist by profession, her days were highly structured and detail-driven. While movement had always been part of her life, it often felt goal-oriented and rigid. POUND introduced her to something different: movement that was expressive, empowering, and deeply human. That experience led her to take POUND Pro training and become a POUND Pro in 2018.

Becoming a POUND Pro was not easy at first. Gwend never imagined she would have the confidence to teach in front of others, and stepping into that role meant moving far outside her comfort zone. She faced doubt, fear, and moments of uncertainty — but she chose to keep going. Looking back, she can honestly say she has never regretted that decision.

In 2019, Gwend began teaching alongside fellow POUND Pro Rosvia, and together they built FIT N FAB — a fitness community founded on their shared belief that movement can help people live healthier, more active lives. From the very beginning, their mission was to create a space where movement felt safe, joyful, and inclusive, and where people felt supported rather than judged.

The journey was not without challenges. Like many community-driven fitness spaces, FIT N FAB faced uncertainty, especially during the pandemic. Classes came to a halt, routines were disrupted, and connection had to be completely redefined.

Yet FIT N FAB didn’t stop — it adapted. The community moved online, supported one another through screens, and leaned into movement as a tool for coping, connection, and mental strength. During that time, POUND became more than a workout; it became a source of resilience, release, and collective strength.

After surviving the pandemic, the community emerged even stronger. In 2023, Gwend officially became part of the Tour Crew Team (TC), marking a new chapter in her journey. FIT N FAB continued to evolve — not only as a community, but also as a team. Gwend remains deeply grateful for the instructors and teammates who joined after the pandemic, sharing the same vision and helping expand the impact of POUND together.

Since then, through her role on Tour Crew and alongside her team, Gwend has continued spreading POUND through classes, events, and social media across Indonesia.

At the same time, she actively encourages people to live healthier, more active lives not only through POUND, but also through her work as a personal trainer. In this role, she guides individuals toward sustainable movement habits, strength, and confidence — both inside and outside the studio.

To Gwend, POUND is more than movement. It is a reminder that strength doesn’t always look quiet — sometimes it looks loud, rhythmic, and unapologetically joyful.

Her message is simple: Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. You never know where it might lead. There is nothing to lose by trying — whether you fail or succeed, both outcomes offer valuable lessons. Every step forward, no matter how small, is growth — and that will always be a win.

Gwend, you are a true inspiration and we are so grateful to have you part of the Tour Crew Team and POUND family!
