WishGarden Herbs (Louisville, CO) announced it achieved two major milestones: the company has earned B Corp Certification and is sponsoring and partnering with the first North American FairWild certified collector.

According to the company, B Corp Certification isn’t just a badge, but a commitment woven into WishGarden’s entire business. The company is committed to nurturing plants, supporting people and protecting the planet.

Some of the many initiatives include sustainable sourcing practices, industry-leading certification, small-scale producer partnerships, domestic sourcing commitments, independent operations, women-led leadership, continuous learning culture, community engagement, renewable energy transition, carbon footprint reduction, water conservation and waste diversion strategy, the company said.

“Staying independent gives us the freedom to lead with our values—and these certifications help make that commitment my mom made almost 50 years ago concrete. It isn’t just about herbal products—it’s about a way of being. It’s about building the structure to keep doing what we believe in, even as we grow. We’re here to make herbalism better, more accessible and more accountable—and this helps us stay the course,” said Anna Harshman, vice president of impact & development at WishGarden and daughter of founder Catherine Hunziker.

WishGarden is also sponsoring its longtime American farming partners to achieve FairWild certification in 2025. The move marks WishGarden as the first North American FairWild registered brand to partner with the first domestic operator harvesting FairWild certified ingredients, the company said.

According to the company, WishGarden now uses FairWild certified wild-cultivated herbs—featured in the brand’s top-selling products—that are now traceable through a verified regenerative supply chain. It also builds on WishGarden’s commitment to domestic sourcing with 63 percent of botanicals used grown or wildcrafted in the U.S.

“North America is rich in medicinal plant diversity, but many native species are at risk. FairWild helps protect these plants while ensuring fair pay and ethical treatment for the people who harvest them. Bringing FairWild to North America isn’t just about sustainability—it’s about strengthening local herbal economies,” said Lauren Ann Nichols-Sheffler, certified herbalist and senior sourcing manager at WishGarden.
