Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce made their first public appearance since getting engaged for a very special night at Arrowhead Stadium.
Travis and Swift, both 35, as well as Travis’s brother Jason, 37, were in attendance as the NFL stars’ alma mater, the University of Cincinnati, played the Nebraska Cornhuskers at the Kansas City stadium on Thursday, August 28. While the siblings were seen on the field first, Swift arrived later.
In footage shared via X, she was seen arriving in a mini skirt and sleeveless top combo, which she paired with a stylish handbag for the outing. The trio were photographed together in the stands as they watched the teams play during the night.
The pop star’s engagement to Travis wasn’t far from many people’s minds, including sports reporter Matt Foster, who referred to Jason as Travis’ “future best man.”

Posting via X on Thursday, the Kansas City’s KSHB 41 News reporter shared footage of the brothers at the game, captioning it, “Travis Kelce & his future best man Jason Kelce are here to support Cincinnati. #Chiefs #ChiefsKingdom

In the footage, Travis and Jason Kelce looked to be in good spirits as they chatted by the sidelines at the Kansas City Chiefs’ hometown stadium.
According to USA Today, the Bearcats and the Cornhuskers were originally supposed to start the season in Cincinnati before settling on Arrowhead Stadium as a neutral site. (Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium was also considered to host Thursday’s game, but negotiations fell through.)

In December 2024, Cincinnati Bearcats athletic director John Cunningham promoted the shift to Arrowhead Stadium as an “incredible chance to showcase Bearcats football in one of the NFL’s most iconic venues.”
“This game is a unique opportunity that not only significantly benefits the program financially but also puts the Bearcats in the national spotlight,” the coach went on. “This matchup reflects our commitment to thinking big and maximizing possibilities for our program in the ever-changing college athletics landscape.”
Meanwhile, Travis hinted he’d be watching the Bearcats in person via his Instagram Story only a few hours before game time on Thursday.
“LFG cats,” the NFL star wrote. “Arrowheads [sic] gonna be rockin!! Take over KC baby!!”
Thursday’s homecoming game came two days after Travis and Swift officially announced their engagement. On Tuesday, August 26, the couple shared gorgeous photos of Travis popping the question with an old mine brilliant cut diamond ring designed by Kindred Lubeck at Artifex Fine Jewelry.

Alongside images of Travis and Swift lovingly embracing each other, they wrote a tongue-in-cheek engagement announcement: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
They have since received congratulations from Travis’ Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes and Swift’s BFF Selena Gomez as well as Swift’s former boyfriend Taylor Lautner. Even President Donald Trump weighed in to wish the happy couple “a lot of luck” with this new phase of their relationship.

Travis’ father, Ed Kelce, offered new details on the timing of his son’s proposal during an interview with ABC affiliate News 5 Cleveland on Tuesday.
“Travis actually did the proposal, oh, maybe two weeks, not quite two weeks ago,” Ed, 74, told the outlet. “He was going to put it off till this week … but he was going to put her off till this week to, you know, make some grand thing, to make it a big, special event.”
Meanwhile, the Chiefs will head to São Paulo, Brazil, to officially kick off the NFL season on Friday, September 5, when they play the Los Angeles Chargers at Corinthians Arena.
