Are your kids tired of cold cereal for breakfast? I’ve got you covered with quick and healthy breakfast ideas that will keep them energized for a full day at school.

Weekday mornings can be a challenge to get everyone fed and out the door on time!

Trying to get yourself ready for the day while simultaneously setting up your kids for a successful day at school is no easy task. I love to share this post every back to school season to jive up some new breakfast ideas for your family. While frozen waffles, kids friendly smoothies, Cheerios, oatmeal, and toast are on rotation around here, I do like to mix in more special breakfasts so the boys don’t get too sick of the everyday staples. And grown-ups who have to get out the door on time need wholesome breakfasts too!

Mazen is entering middle school this year and his favorite breakfast in a protein-based smoothie. And while Birch would eat Great Harvest cinnamon chip toast every single day if we kept it in stock year round, we try to mix in his favorites for varied nutrition!

In this post I have rounded up a variety of quick and healthy breakfast ideas that run the gamut of kid friendly and adult palettes!

From banana baked oatmeal to savory egg and cheese cups, you can make many of these school breakfasts recipes ahead of time so you don’t have to think twice about what to eat at 8 a.m.

Quick And Healthy Breakfast Ideas For School

    Baked Banana Oatmeal

This easy Baked Banana Oatmeal is a KERF classic! It’s great to make on prep day and reheat throughout the week. This version baked in a pie dish features an optional peanut butter cream frosting!

Mini Egg Pies with Pepper Jack & Peppers

These are SO simple (just four ingredients!) and pretty for spring brunches, parties, and a quick and easy option for breakfast and snacks during the week. Note you’ll want to reheat them in a toaster oven so the crust stays crunchy.

    Overnight Oats Popsicles

If your kids love sweets, they will love these popsicles for breakfast! Made with oats, milk and berries, they’re nutritious and fun to eat too!

Another popsicle idea is to pour any leftover smoothie into silicone push-pop molds like these. Or simply freeze yogurt tubes!

    Cinnamon Raisin Baked Oatmeal Muffins

One of my all-time favorite breakfast recipes, these cinnamon raisin baked oatmeal muffins are baked in a single serving muffin cup and easy to reheat and eat for breakfast on busy mornings.

    Nutty Granola with Homemade Yogurt

This recipe is packed with nuts, seeds, and coconut and is made without oats, so it’s gluten free. Almond meal, honey, and coconut oil bind it together. A great one for the grown-ups!

    Banana Smash Toast

This power toast with banana, peanut butter, chia, coconut, and maple syrup will both energize and satisfy you! It’s ideal as a pre-workout snack or quick breakfast.

    Healthy Baked Oatmeal with Pumpkin

This healthy baked oatmeal is the best way to get all of your favorite seasonal flavors in one cozy dish.

Oats, warm spices, canned pumpkin, and just a touch of caramelized brown sugar topping make this crave-worthy baked oatmeal a must-make this fall.

    Whole Wheat Blueberry Mini Muffins

These whole wheat blueberry mini muffins are a great healthy breakfast for little fingers! You can make these with fresh or frozen blueberries so you can enjoy them year-round.

    Whole Wheat Sheet Pan Pancakes

Pancakes baked in a sheet pan = the perfect breakfast pancake recipe! These sheet pan pancakes are made with whole wheat pastry flour and are thick and fluffy. Pancakes cut into squares are perfect for saving time and either feeding a crowd or freezing for later. Topping ideas are endless!

    Super Oatmeal Cookies

These Super Oatmeal Cookies will be your kids’ new favorite morning surprise! They’re ideal to bake in advance and reheat for quick mornings (paired with fresh fruit or greek yogurt). You could describe these as a “scuffin” actually. Part scone, part muffin, part cookie.

    Pineapple Upside Down Baked Oatmeal

Give basic baked oatmeal a tropical twist with pineapple rings, juicy cherries, and a sprinkle of brown sugar to caramelize on top. This Pineapple Upside-Down Baked Oatmeal is ready in just 30 minutes and reheats beautifully. This breakfast option is ideal to make ahead and reheat on weekdays or serve fresh out of the oven for brunch.

Protein-Packed Breakfast Burritos via Fit Foodie Finds

This is meal prep at its finest! Assemble these delicious protein-packed breakfast burritos to have before work or school all week long!

Scrambled eggs, bacon, and peppers taste like a breakfast casserole all rolled into one tasty wrap.

Smoothie Freezer Packs via Lexi’s Clean Living

Smoothies are an easy and delicious way to have a nutritious breakfast QUICKLY. Lexi’s post shares how to prep 30 smoothie freezer packs in less than an hour.

Her guide includes five different smoothie and a budget-friendly shopping list. Each smoothie is paleo and vegan and will keep you satisfied until lunch!
