A Taylor Farms salad kit, sold at major retailers like Kroger and Walmart, is under recall in 25 states, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced last Tuesday.

The brand’s Honey Balsamic Salad Kit mistakenly contains the Asian Sesame Ginger dressing, which has sesame and soy allergens not listed on the product.

Here’s how to know if your salad kit is part of the recall.

    • Product Name: Taylor Farms Honey Balsamic Salad Kit
    • Net Weight: 8.3 oz.
    • Code Dates: Starting with “TFRS”
    • Best-If-Used-By Date: Up to and including Sept. 4, 2025

The recalled salad kits contain the wrong dressing, resulting in two undeclared allergens.

The recalled salad kit may contain undeclared sesame and soy allergens.

Latitude 36 Foods, the company that supplies the dressings and toppings in Taylor Farms salad kits, accidentally put Asian Sesame Ginger dressing in the Honey Balsamic Salad Kits, which are supposed to have Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette.

The incorrect dressing contains sesame and soy, which are not listed on the package. This puts people with an allergy or sensitivity to these ingredients at risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat the salad. To date, no adverse events have been reported in connection to the recalled salad kits.

If you can consume sesame and soy, the recalled salad kits are otherwise safe to eat. Still, the FDA is urging all consumers to discard the salad kits, or return them for a refund.
