Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage (Lakewood, CO) is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year and the company announced a large-scale celebration across all 169 stores.
“As we mark our 70th Anniversary, we’re proud to carry forward the vision my grandparents, Margaret and Philip Isely, began in 1955,” said Raquel Isely, vice president of marketing for Natural Grocers. “My grandmother’s compassion and conviction continue to shape everything we do—from the products we carry to our Five Founding Principles that we uphold. She believed deeply in nourishing the body and the planet, and in empowering people through nutrition education and access to quality food.”
The anniversary celebration will run from Aug 14-16.
According to the company, Natural Grocers community members will have a chance to win more than $194,000 in prizes including a Mustang Mach-E Premium or $47,000 cash, a Peloton Bike, a Peloton Tread, an Ooni Karu 12” Multi-fuel Outdoor Pizza Oven, and more. On Aug. 14, 1 percent of all sales at Natural Grocers will go direly to the Heroes in Aprons Fund, a nonprofit established in 2021 to support select Natural Grocers good4u Crew members facing “unexpected hardship due to circumstances beyond their control.”
