Former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe is grateful for her loved ones’ tireless support amid her stepfather Rob’s cancer battle.

“Trying to not cry as much on social media anymore, but I’m on my third flight home to Nashville, crying into my pretzels at all the love,” Bristowe, 40, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Saturday, August 30. “Thank you so much. I’m showing my mom and Rob so many messages and hope goes so far!!”

Bristowe revealed several hours earlier that Rob, who is married to her mom, Leslie, was diagnosed with “incurable stage IV cancer.”

“About 8 months ago, I asked everyone to pray for my stepdad, Rob. I didn’t say why, but he was diagnosed with cancer and he was going into surgery to get it removed,” she captioned a lengthy Instagram post. “Your prayers worked and they had gotten it all. He then went back for a follow-up scan, and it has moved into his stomach 😭 He is now battling an incurable stage 4 cancer.  We are all devastated.”

Former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe celebrated her milestone 40th birthday with the release of her third music single. “I wrote a ballad. Have you ever been lonely in love? It’s a really sad, hard, heartbreaking feeling,” Bristowe wrote via Instagram on Thursday, June 19, sharing the single’s artwork, which featured Bristowe sitting naked in a bathtub […]

She continued, “I do believe he will beat the time line given because he’s a stubborn strong warrior with a passion for life. But I really do believe in the power of prayer, the power of manifestation and the power of love. So, please send it all his way. He means the world to me and our blended family.”

Bristowe further revealed that she recently traveled to Canada to spend a “few days” with her relatives.

“It was really special to spend the last few days playing cards, eating home-cooked meals, and just telling each other how much we cherish our families relationship,” she concluded. “Time is so precious.”

Bristowe captioned her upload, “Prayers please,” which she received many of in the comments section.

“Sending you so much love,” her Are You My First? cohost, Colton Underwood, replied.

Chrishell Stause, for her part, added, “Here for you at anytime if you need. I’m so so sorry.”

Big Brother alum Elena Davies, Vanderpump Rules’ Katie Maloney, Bachelor Nation producer Elan Gale, singer Brennin Hunt and more celebrities similarly flooded Bristowe’s comments with their own well-wishes.

Bachelorette alum Mikey Planeta, who later appeared on Are You My First?, also sent a thoughtful message.

“Praying for healing over Rob. That God can heal him like only he can,” Planeta, 35, wrote via Instagram comment. “Praying for no pain in his body and for peace during his battle. Praying for strength and endurance each day to continue to battle. Praying for you and your family as you also navigate this battle alongside of him. We are all here for you if you need anything!”
