Chlorophyll Water (Brooklyn, NY) announced it earned Clean Label Project Certification for the third consecutive year, further solidifying its commitment to clean-label wellness, ingredient transparency and industry-leading purification standards.

Chlorophyll Water is an ultra-purified water infused with chlorophyll from alfalfa and fortified with essential vitamins A, B12, C and D. It is bottled in 100 percent recycled plastic using CleanFlake technology to ensure recyclability and reduce contamination, the company said.

According to the company, Chlorophyll Water is the first-ever bottled water to pass Clean Label Project Certification, a rigorous, independent third-party standard that tests for more than 90 environmental and industrial contaminants including heavy metals, plasticizers and pesticide residues.

“Consumers are increasingly concerned about the beverages they put into their bodies and the food they provide for themselves and their families,” said Jaclyn Bowen, MPH, MS, food safety systems engineer and executive director of Clean Label Project. “Being the first bottled water in the U.S. to receive this certification speaks volumes about Chlorophyll Water’s commitment to ingredient quality and purification.”

“In my opinion, Clean Label Project Certification is the most important certification a brand can earn—because it’s not about hype or marketing, it’s about what’s actually in your product,” added Matt Levine, founder of Chlorophyll Water. “Clean Label Project provides third-party, lab-tested proof independently tested for over 90 environmental toxins, plasticizers, and pesticide residues. It’s the gold standard for brands that truly stand behind their product.”
