Chase Chrisley is serious about girlfriend Jodi Laine Fournerat, despite his family’s reservations.
Fans got an inside look at Chase’s relationship with Jodi when The Chrisleys: Back to Reality aired on Lifetime in September 2025. When Chase brought up the idea of proposing to Jodi on the show, it was apparent that Julie Chrisley was not on board. Savannah Chrisley, at one point, even said she would “object” to their wedding.
“Just because I am in prison does not mean that my job as a mother stops,” Julie said in a phone call from prison, which aired during the docuseries’ fourth episode. “Yes, it is very much limited as to what I can do. But I am still, at my core, a mother to these children.”
She added, “When he told me that he wanted to marry Jodi, I was not thrilled. I don’t know her. So, I can’t be on board with my son marrying someone that I don’t even know.”

Chase went public with Jodi in November 2023, months after he and ex-fiancée Emmy Medders called off their engagement.
“My mom doesn’t want me to rush anything. She wants me to take my time, but it’s been over two years. So, I don’t feel like I’m rushing anything,” Chase said on the docuseries about his impending proposal. “I think a lot of it’s coming from that, my mom doesn’t want to miss out on it. But there’s nothing we can do about it right now.”

Jodi officially moved to Nashville to be closer to Chase after they dated long distance for one year.
“I was on call all the time, I was working weekends, so I would come in as much as I could to Nashville, but it was definitely a lot easier for Chase to be able to fly in,” Jodi told People in July 2025. “I would only be able to stay for typically a weekend, versus Chase would come in, and he would be able to stay for two weeks, three weeks.”

“Chase reminded me, he was like, ‘You’re part of my life, which means you need to be a part of the show, because it’s based on my life. I want you to be a part of it.’ He obviously let me make that decision,” she said to People. “He didn’t tell me what I could and couldn’t do, but he was like, ‘I would love for you to be a part of it.’”

“My parents have really never given anyone a fair shot, of any girl I’ve ever dated,” Chase said during his confessional. “It took me as long as it did to pull it together and I’m ashamed of that, but there’s nothing I can do about it now other than try to be the best version of myself every day and continue to grow as a man.”
