I was hiking in Colorado recently when a woman ran past me with her dog. If you’re not aching to jog up a steep incline anytime soon, it’s important to note that plenty of shoppers use these shoes for hiking. One reviewer who has hiked the Grand Canyon three times and hikes other smaller trails on a weekly basis, dubbed the Cascadias their “favorite hiking shoes.” They buy a new pair every year because they love them so much. A second commented that the shoes have “great traction” and “the best” grip. And, of course, some use them to run.
