Ben Shelton found love off the court with Trinity Rodman.
After the pair were spotted multiple times in public in 2024, the tennis star took to Instagram in March 2025 to confirm his romance with Rodman by sharing a photo of her kissing his cheek.
“I been focused, but I’m steady climbin’, I’m nowhere near my peak,” Shelton captioned the post.
One month later, Shelton opened up about his romance with the soccer player, noting that making their relationship work “isn’t the easiest” because of their busy schedules.

“You gotta make sacrifices sometimes,” he told Us Weekly in April 2025. “It’s just the life that we live. The lives that we live right now and for the foreseeable future. I think that you have to have two selfless people in a situation like this, and I think we have that.”
Rodman has continued to support Shelton at several of his matches, including Shelton beating Lorenzo Sonego in Round 16 at Wimbledon in July 2025.

2024
Romance rumors began to swirl after Rodman and Shelton were spotted together hanging out with Chris Eubanks and Coco Gauff. However, Shelton swiftly denied having a relationship with Rodman in January 2025.
“Yeah, me Chris and Coco, we’ll do escape rooms, sometimes we’ll go on a dare,” Shelton explained in an on-court interview at the Australian Open. “We might be retired after this week because the paparazzi are taking pictures of us and cropping Chris out of the photo, so Chris wasn’t too happy about that.”

Shelton hard-launched his relationship with Rodman on Instagram when he posted a picture of her kissing his cheek.

Nearly one month after confirming his relationship with Rodman, Shelton revealed that he wasn’t prepared for the public response.
“I was sure some people would talk about it, but I didn’t think it would be a break the Internet type of thing,” he told Us. “But I’ve always been like, ‘OK, if I have a serious girlfriend then posting about it on Instagram isn’t that crazy.’”
Shelton noted that sharing the post also helped put speculation about his dating life to rest.
“I feel like for the past six months, whenever I would get seen with somebody, people would think we were dating,” he explained. “It’s like, no, we’re just friends. Or if I’d hang out in a group of three and it was a guy and a girl, they’d cut the guy out and make it seem like I was on a date. It’s either gonna be I post about my girlfriend or they post about assuming who my girlfriend is.”
The tennis player also revealed that his and Rodman’s busy schedules make their relationship not “the easiest at times,” but he believes at times you have to “make sacrifices.”
“It’s just the life that we live. The lives that we live right now and for the foreseeable future,” he shared with Us. “I think that you have to have two selfless people in a situation like this, and I think we have that.”
Later that month, the Olympian supported Shelton in Munich at his semifinal match against Argentine athlete Francisco Cerundolo. Shelton ended up winning the match and securing a place in the event finals. He ultimately lost 6-4 to Germany’s Alexander Zverev.

Shelton took to Instagram to share a sweet post for Rodman’s birthday.
“Happy birthday beautiful girl I love you,” he captioned a photo of the duo in a sweet embrace and a picture of Rodman laughing.

After supporting Shelton at his match in Wimbledon, Rodman took to social media to share her grievances with the television broadcast.
“For those who don’t know…my name is TRINITY not Tiffany 😭😂,” she said via Instagram Story, before going on to address her estranged father, former NBA star Dennis Rodman, who was referenced multiple times during the broadcast. “Also, for Ben’s matches he has his family there as his support system, which includes his dad…my dad’s not even in MY life no need to bring him up during HIS matches when I don’t even want him talked about during mine.”
Trinity noted that it is Shelton and “his loved ones’ moment.”

Later that month, Trinity shared pictures of some of her summer moments, which included trips with Shelton.
“Not the summer that I had in mind but still loved every moment ❤️can’t wait to be back on the field,” she wrote via Instagram alongside several photos including one of her kissing Shelton in front of the ocean.

When Rodman came to support her boyfriend during the first day of the US Open, Shelton gave her a sweet shout-out. “My girlfriend took the red-eye from California last night to be here,” he said, per ESPN, as cameras panned to Rodman in the stands.
