Certain Häagen-Dazs ice cream bars have been recalled due to an undeclared allergen, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Tuesday.
Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream voluntarily recalled a limited number of its Häagen-Dazs Chocolate Dark Chocolate Mini Bars over the presence of wheat that wasn’t listed on the label.
The bars are otherwise safe, but could be life-threatening to people with an allergy or severe sensitivity to wheat, if consumed.
Look for Häagen-Dazs Chocolate Dark Chocolate Mini Bars in six-count packages, with the batch code LLA519501 and a best-by date of Jan. 31, 2027.

The ice cream bars were sold at Kroger and Giant Eagle stores in the following states:
- Kroger: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
- Giant Eagle: Indiana, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
If you have a wheat allergy or sensitivity, and any recalled ice cream bars are in your freezer, do not eat them—instead, throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
No illnesses have been reported, and the recall was initiated out of an abundance of caution. The company believes products containing wheat were repacked into incorrect packaging.
