Some royal family members have decided to take a step back from their official duties in pursuit of a more normal career.

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s oldest daughter, Princess Beatrice, received a degree in history from Goldsmiths College at the University of London before becoming the vice president of partnerships and strategy for Afiniti, a data analytics firm.

In addition to working at Afiniti, in August 2025, Beatrice, a mom of two, was appointed as a director at Purpose Economy Intelligence Ltd alongside Luis Alvarado Martinez, per Hello! Magazine.

Meanwhile, Beatrice’s younger sister, Princess Eugenie, also works a regular job as a director at the art gallery Hauser & Wirth in London.

Princess Beatrice, the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, has made a name for herself over the years. While she’s not considered a senior-working member of the royal family, Beatrice notably has her own career but still makes time to step out for public appearance with her family — not to mention, she […]

“We are the first: we are young women trying to build careers and have personal lives, and we’re also princesses and doing all of this in the public eye,” Beatrice shared with British Vogue in an October 2018 interview.

After earning her history degree from Goldsmiths College at the University of London, Beatrice began serving as the vice president of partnerships and strategy at the data analytics firm Afiniti in 2016. In August 2025, Hello! Magazine confirmed that Beatrice was appointed as a director at the business and software company Purpose Economy Intelligence alongside the World Economic Forum executive, Martinez.

“I’m very lucky I’ve been able to find a job that relies on my communication skills a lot more than it is me sitting behind a desk,” she told Cosmopolitan in a May 2020 interview.

    Princess Eugenie

Eugenie graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English literature and history of art from Newcastle University in 2012. Following her graduation, she worked as a benefit auctions manager at Paddle8 in New York before moving back to London in 2015 to work for Hauser & Wraith. She started as an associate director before being promoted to director in 2017.

“I’ve loved art since I was very little. I knew I definitely wouldn’t be a painter, but I knew this was the industry for me,” she told Harper’s Bazaar in an August 2016 interview. “I love being able to share my passion for art with people. If someone doesn’t understand something, you have the ability to suggest, ‘Maybe you can look at it this way.’ That’s what I find most thrilling about working in a gallery.”

    Zara Tindall

The second child of Princess Anne and Mark Phillips began riding equestrian at a young age and became a member of the Great Britain Eventing Team. She won a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

In addition to her riding career, Tindall studied at the University of Exeter and became a qualified physiotherapist. As of 2020, Tindall also was appointed as a non-executive director at Cheltenham Racecourse. She also works as an ambassador for several brands, including the fashion brand Fairfax & Favor.

    Mike Tindall

Zara’s husband, who got married in 2011, completed his education in 1997 before joining the Bath rugby club as the outside center. Mike played for England’s national team, helping them win a World championship in 2003 before going on to play for Gloucester. Throughout his career, Mike won 75 matches for England and played in every Six Nations Championship competition from 2000 to 2011.

After retiring from rugby in 2014, Mike — along with rugby player James Haskell and broadcaster Alex Payne — started “The Good, the Bad & The Rugby” podcast in 2020.

    Sarah Ferguson

Andrew’s ex-wife has held many jobs throughout the years, including writing multiple books such as Reinventing Yourself With The Duchess of York and a series of children’s books. In November 2024, Sarah launched a line of eco-friendly diapers called The Greater Good.
