Here’s a bit of life lately!

    this !

    Fastest summer ever!

The boys went back to school this week! (YAY haha). That felt like the fastest summer ever for two reasons 1) all of our June travel and 2) because they got out of school early and went back a week earlier then they used to. As I mentioned in my newsletter, I’ve been really looking forward to back to school so that I can get a bit more focused on KERF again! I have so many blog post ideas and things I want to make / do / share and have basically been in low power mode most of the summer. Looking forward to fall!

Checking out his desk at open house

He’s a leftie like me! And that is a “scar” tattoo not actual blood! Great meet-the-teacher conversation.

    First Day Pics

    First grade

    Seventh grade

It’s crazy to me that he’s as old as some of my sharpest memories of this age. I don’t remember much from elementary school, but middle school is much clearer. It will be mind blowing when he is in high school!

    Last Bits Of Summer

Birch has really taken to his scooter recently, and we started going to the skate park down the road! Mazen bikes and Birch scooters, for now. We hope Birch will start using his balance bike a bit more soon.

Not a swimming pool or a fall – just the bottom of a skateboard bowl!

Scootin’ home from the block pool!

Since we didn’t have summer camps the last two weeks, we’ve done a lot of activities.

    Playdates with friends
    Multiple birthday parties!
    B’s first lemonade stand!

(Don’t judge our price – Thomas and Birch made the lemonade from scratch and priced it themselves!)

    Library Reading

B is a good reader and I’m really trying to get him to read on his own more! He read this whole book on his own.

    Track club

This has been an extension of Thomas coaching B’s soccer team, and they kept their Tuesday PM activity going when we were not traveling by going to the Kids Track Club at CHS. Birch did great in the kids races!

    River fishing!

Don’t you feel like a giant anaconda might be under the water?!

Speaking of, Mazen made this of me with AI! It looks SO real, minus my face. And the fact that I would NOT be smiling!

The occasional sweet brother moment <3

    Summer Soccer Finals

Our team made it to the finals where we lost : ( But it was a great summer season!

    We even had fans!

    Restaurant Week

I joined some friends at Orzo for Restaurant Week a few weeks ago. It’s always a fabulous spot!

    A Very Golden Birthday

Our gym friend group celebrated Sean’s 29th birthday (which was July 29th) with a golden theme.

We did a bar crawl and covered ourselves in gold tattoos! Man, if I could get a metallic permanant tattoo I totally would. The moon on my ankle is still on and looks so good!

    Fun time celebrating Seanny Boy!

And now we get back to routine!!
