These five fast food cheeseburgers pack the most calories, fat, and sodium.

I mean, let’s be honest, no one reaches for fast food cheeseburgers with the thought that we want to eat clean today. It’s something quick to grab on the road, or in passing if you have a busy day (or frankly if you’re just craving it and you don’t want to fire up the grill yourself). That said, among the fast food contenders there’s certainly some options that are worse than others. Here are the five of the unhealthiest fast food burgers.

    Five Guys

    Five Guys

Five Guys might be good for the soul, but it’s not really that great for the body. Those who dare to find out can view customizable nutrition facts here, but their cheeseburger is clocking about 980 calories, 55g of fat, around 26g of saturated fat and a whopping 1,050mg of sodium. A bit steep, but hey, the flavor is there.6254a4d1642c605c54bf1cab17d50f1e

    Whataburger

    Whataburger

Whataburger says their Double Meat Whataburger with Cheese, a popular menu item, is around 835 calories, roughly 44g of fat (around 14g of saturated fat) and about 1,470mg of sodium. Sure you can get a salad, or you can just make it a once in a while treat because a proper burger is going to cost you a few health points.

    Smashburger

    Smashburger

If you go for a Smashburger Double Classic Cheeseburger, it’ll cost you about 970 calories, 62g of fat, 27g of saturated fat, and an extravagant 2,360mg of sodium. The burger is made with two Certified Angus Beef patties, American cheese, and toppings and although the sodium is a bit shockingly high, that Smash sauce almost makes it worth it.

    Carl’s Jr.

    Carl’s Jr.

At Carl’s Jr., the Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger is made up of two charbroiled beef patties, and loaded up with American cheese, crispy onion rings, crispy cherrywood bacon, and barbecue sauce. This delicious burger will cost you about 1020 calories, 55g of fat, 24g of saturated fat, and 1820mg of sodium, but in their defense, they never claimed to be healthy. Just tasty!

    Sonic

    Sonic Drive-In

The Sonic SuperSONIC Double Cheeseburger is made from two beef burger patties and topped with pickles, onions, ketchup, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, and American cheese. It has about 1040 calories, 68g of fat, 20g of saturated fat, and 1970mg of sodium. Again, yikes…but, its delicious!
